When your child reaches the crucial final year before school, our Pre-School Room is purpose-built to support their growing independence and extend their learning.

Our teaching team in this room provide a special role to the Pre-School children; from friendship to leadership, however providing boundaries to encourage behaviour in preparation for school-readiness.

During the Pre-School year, the children are introduced to the Letters and Sounds programme through fun-filled games and activities. This then leads to a Letter and Sound of the week where children will be encouraged to go on letter hunts and ‘I-Spy’ games.

Pre-School encompasses children’s independence through free-choice and open-ended resources. The room provides play that is experimental and investigative, allowing our practitioners to instil a passion for learning.

This enables them to work together to build a narrative within their play using the available resources, such as using crates and boxes to be a train; writing and making their own tickets; and going on a journey together.
