Continuing to recognise this week’s theme of those people who help us, the two-year-old room have also been practicing our fire safety, as they very carefully toasted marshmallows over tea lights.
This was a fantastic activity to reinforce the things that they have been been learning throughout the week. The children ensured they were cautious around the candle and knew that they must not play with matches or lighters.
The children got to eat their yummy toasted marshmallows after their great work.
This was then followed up by the children watching the ‘Frances the Firefly’ story, provided by the local fire service.
